Local Canterbury Junior in NZ Lacrosse U15 Team

We are pleased annouce that one of our junior players, Taylor Konowe, will be representing Canterbury and the South Island in the NZ U15 Lacrosse team next month.

Lacrosse Season Opening September 12th

Next Youth Lacrosse Clinic Sunday Aug 29th

Our next youth Lacrosse clinic will be held this Sunday from 11am to 12:30pm at Christchurch Boys High School on the Hockey astro turf on Kahu Road. All juniors welcome from 10 years and up. There is no cost, please bring suitable shoes and a drink. All equipment will be supplied.

New Lacrosse Season Opening in Canterbury

Roar Lacrosse is now taking registrations for Men's, Women's and junior teams. We plan to take teams at all levels to the NZ National Lacrosse tournament in Hamilton late in January, So if you are interested register now.

Brine VIP Lacrosse Glove Recall

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, in cooperation with Brine (a division of Warrior Sports Inc. of Warren, Michigan), today announced a voluntary recall of Youth and Adult Brine VIP Lacrosse Gloves. Consumers should stop using the products immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.

Otago University Lacrosse Clinic

This weekend Coaches from Canterbury Lacrosse are running a clinic at Otago university for interested players. This has been organised over the past 2 or 3 weeks. The clinic will run Saturday July 31st from noon -3pm on the university grounds for anyone interested in learning Lacrosse. Games between the Canterbury Mens, Canterbury University and Otago University teams should commence in October. This a huge development in mens lacrosse in New Zealand and the south Island specifically. Thanks to Coaches Jim Collins and Bill Brown for volunteering their time.

USA World Lacrosse Champs

Last night the USA beat Canada 12-10 to regain the top world ranking in the Mens World Lacrosse championships in Manchester England.  The teams started out very evenly with a strong 3rd quarter to the Canadians 4-0. Going into the 4th quarter it was all even at 8-8 with the USA coming out on top in the final quarter to take the championship.
